| | ca.news.yahoo.com - A centuries old English tradition, a race where participants chase a rolling double Gloucester cheese down a steep hill, has been canceled due to concerns about overcrowding.

The race has been held annually since 1826 at Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire in Southern England but last year's race attracted over 15,000 people.
Every year dozen of participants are treated for bruises and sprains but last year an additional 19 spectators were injured, which led to the cancellation of this year's event. | |
